View northeast to portion of Portola Elementary School, now ER Taylor Elementary School. Auditorium visible with arches, still extant in 2022, but altered and amended with much decorative detail removed. The school opened in September, 1924, and its name was changed from Portola to Edward Robeson Taylor in September, 1925 in honor of the former mayor of San Francisco who had died in 1923.
