South side Merritt Street, 73 Merritt at right. The 3000-block of Market Street was once Merritt, buildings on the south side of this block were moved about 20 feet back to accommodate the widened street. These houses sit directly in the middle of present Market Street where it veers south from Merritt. These buildings were either demolished or moved to parts unknown. [dpwbook32 dpw8526]
