Golden Gate Park

Goethe and Schiller statue on original location on Music Concourse. Two horse-drawn carriages with passengers. Statue was installed with donations from the German community on the west side of the Music Concourse, (current site of the de Young Museum Sculpture Garden) on August 11, 1901. It would be moved to the current east side of the Concourse in the early 1920s. [GGP-20] (G810 GGP-020) (GGNRA/Behrman GOGA 35346)
