Camanche Ironclad

USS Camanche was a Passaic-class monitor built on the east coast and shipped in pieces to SF Bay where it was reassembled and launched November 14, 1864 at China Basin. She was fitted out and completed after the end of the Civil War. Watkins No. 677. [Launch of the Comanche (sic) 1866 Bet 2nd & 3rd Sts.] [F810 SH-440] (GGNRA/Behrman GOGA 35346)
