1655 Dolores Street near Day Street, on the east side of the block. Assessor's office states this single family home was built in 1900; it appears to have been heavily remodeled. Fenced empty lot to the left reveals a view of a house on Day Street. Fence has advertisment for San Francisco Glass Co.

2712 17th Street. Multi-family residential unit on 17th Street. Next door is a Foster an Kleiser billboard which is running a Budweiser advertisement, Making friends is our business.

1698 Bryant Street at 16th Street, built 1907. In 1951 it housed Double Play Liquors on the NW corner, which was operated by the Stanfel family--Anna L., Stanley N., Leland F., Melvin P., Peter and Richard.

Potrero Hill
2814 25th Street. View north across 25th St. near Potrero Ave. to George Stelling Sheet Metal Shop. Building still stands in 2020. Visible behind it, at 1290 Potrero is the now demolished Good Samaritan Community Center.

2401 16th Street. The Double Play (named that because Seals Stadium was directly across the intersection) at 16th and Bryant looks no different today than it did 60 years ago. People are still waiting for the bus there. However, you can't get a haircut in the back room anymore.

This single-family residence at 4115 Irving near 42nd Avenue was built in 1950. The Key Variety Store is at left, with painted Coca-Cola advertisement on the side.
