1354 48th Ave was one of three houses in a row built on the backs of the lots in 1909, each now have structures built in front of them. Notable in this view is the Carville house next door in the backyard of 1356 48th Avenue.

2826-2830 California Street, on the north side of the block near Divisadero Street. Built circa 1900. In 1951, this building, with flats over a store front, hosted a hardware store owned by Chas. P. Boegershausen on the ground floor. Bagdad Rug & Cleaning Co. is to the right.

1830-1834 Lyon Street at Sacramento Street, SE corner. Victorian era flats with entrances at right, built prior to 1900. What appears to be a storefront with house number 1834 is at the very corner. Image shows it stripped of ornamentation and Transite siding added. This building has since been restored to its historic appearance and house number 1834 no longer exists.

424-432 Presidio Avenue near Sacramento Street. Multi-unit apartment house, built 1900 or prior, on east side of block. Belfast Water advertisement painted on an exposed side. The lot to the right has yet to be developed, and features a billboard advertising Mission Bell Wine.

Built in 1925, 2001 Irving Street at 21st Avenue, on the southwest corner, housed Roths Rexall Drugs in 1951. Although the building still stands, it has undergone extensive remodeling, including the demolition of the tower in 1993.

2336-2338 Market Street near Noe Street. Commercial store fronts, built 1950. Bostitch Stapling Machines office at 2336, and National Life and Accident Insurance Co. at 2338. The Overlook Apartments on 16th Street, built 1905 and advertising steam heat, can be seen at left.

Built in 1906, this building at 1456 9th Ave is commercial below and residential above. In 1909, an advertisement in the San Francisco Call read: “$850 for 3 room bungalow: unobstructed marine view; terms if wanted. See it at 1456 9th ave. South.â€
