People look at model of proposed Golden Gate International Exposition (GGIE) on Treasure Island, inside the promotional pavilion for the Exposition in Union Square, which opened in September, 1937. The 1/16 inch to one foot scale model measured 17 by 35 feet, took 6 months to build by 12 artisans, and cost $10,000. The pavilion is pictured in wnp27.7665.
