The Bay City Market had a long and busy history. This is the seventh Bay City Market location at 945 Market Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets. After the earthquake and fire, the Market was listed in 1907 at 202 Van Ness, in 1908 at the SW corner of Hayes and Octavia, from 1909-1920 at 968-970 Market, from 1921-1922 at 25 Mason, and from 1923 on at 945 Market.
