    3623 Buchanan, small storefront with residence behind, gas station adjacent.
Marina
    These two homes and the gas station on the corner of 2nd Avenue and Balboa Street have all been demolished for apartment buildings. In 1951 the basement of 26 Balboa, center, housed the Helene Hardin Theatrical Talent Agency.

Parkside
    View east across Church Streeet to Gene Paridy's Chevron Service Station at 1749 Church Street, on the southeast corner of Day and Church. Replaced by a 4 unit apartment building in 1961. J-Church streetcar tracks in front.
Noe Valley
    Frank Matthews' Mobilgas Station, 1800 Post Street, at the Northwest corner of Post and Webster. Every building in this view was demolished or moved during the redevelopment of the area.
Japantown
    Associated Gas station, 2290 Turk Street at Masonic Avenue, now the site of the Blood Centers of the Pacific (Irwin Memorial Blood Bank) which moved to this location in 1955. View east from Masonic.
Anza Vista
    608 Howard Street. View north across Howard. This location has had many incarnations: as Dan McCarty's Livery Stable in 1884, as Indian Warehouse Supplies in 1916, and as home Nanco Incorporated in 1951.
South of Market
    View northeast from 17th Street and South Van Ness: this gas station and the distinctive 1895 Victorian behind it at 573 South Van Ness are still recognizable. Birdcage traffic signal, Mohawk Gas, Globe Furniture Manufacturing Co.
