1906 Earthquake and Fire, View south through arch of Corinthian columns of ruined apartment building to wrecked City Hall and Dome. Hall of Records at left. The building was under construction at the time of the earthquake and fire. Construction had gotten only as far as partial completion of the walls for the first floor and completed later as the Cornelia Apartments, 641 O'Farrell, extant 2018.
