Published by Bradley & Rulofson] Elevated view north across Union Square to Trinity Episcopal Church (Dedicated September 22, 1867), National Guard Armory and Temple Emanu-El. White house to right of Temple Emanu-El was the mansion of pioneer physician Augustus J. Bowie until 1871, when it was converted to a theatre and beer garden, the Vienna Garden. It was demolished in 1892.
