[8-13-34 Pier 5 2-981] View east to Ferryboat Santa Clara passing Yerba Buena Island on left. US Navy airship U.S.S. Macon (ZRS-5) above. The ship was commissioned in June, 1933 and arrived at Naval Air Station Sunnyvale (now Moffett Field) in October, 1933. It was destroyed in a crash off Point Sur, California in February, 1935.
