West side of Broadway between 10th and 11th Street. Imperial Theatre (1011 Broadway), Ruediger, Loesch, & Zinkand restaurant, Samuel's Jewelry, Theo Gier Wine, J.T. Moran Company. Sign for the nearby T&D Theatre on the roof. Oakland City Hall at background right. The Imperial Theatre opened as the Marlowe in 1908, renamed in 1916, and again in 1934 as the Rex. All buildings on this block have been demolished.
