Ferryboat 'Encinal' grounded near San Rafael and used as Spenger's Fish Grotto restaurant. Encinal was repurposed as a restaurant from 1937 to 1943. (According to Marin historian Dewey Livingston, the ferry was located by the Marin Rod & Gun Club, near the western end of today's Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.)
