Golden Gate ParkThis was 1501 Golden Gate Avenue, at the corner of Pierce Street. It was one in a row of sixteen houses built by The Real Estate Associates in 1875. it was replaced by an apartment building 1912, but most of the row (including 1503 Golden Gate, partially visible at right) still stands. The bronze sculpture was displayed in this location during the Midwinter Fair of 1894. M.H. de Young later purchased it for the City of San Francisco. The statue was originally a drinking fountain

CastroSandlot baseball game on the south side of Pacific Street between Franklin and Gough. Large columned home on the northwest corner of Pacific and Gough belonged to Rudolph Spreckels (built in 1899, demolished around 1960). Most of the buildings in this view have been demolished. Bakery delivery truck may have 1433 Divisadero address on side. Pacific Street Cable line track is visible.
