MissionThe Metropolitan Temple, on east side of Fifth Street at Jessie, designed by William S. Mooser architect. The cornerstone was laid in August, 1876 and it was dedicated on August 5, 1877. It was the home of Rev. Isaac Kalloch's Baptist Church and the scene of his attempted assassination by Charles de Young in 1879. United Undertakers and F.W. Spencer & Co. Guild Pianos. South of MarketPioneer Place, side entrance to the assembly and banquet hall of the Pioneer Building (Society of California Pioneers) with 'Eureka' over the door.
