View north to James Lick (Pioneer) Monument in Marshall Square (current corner Grove and Hyde) After the 1906 Earthquake but before the 1914 extension of Grove Street to Market. In 1993, the monument was moved to the pedestrian mall on Fulton Street between the Asian Art Museum and the new Main Library. The cannon the foreground is on display in the Presidio of San Francisco.
