South BeachGolden Gate Park, Maxwell car on promotional Coast to Coast Tour in front of Amundsen's Gjoa. Roald Amundsen's Gjoa was the first ship through the northwest passage in 1906. Donated to San Francisco, she was displayed at the west end of Golden Gate Park from 1909 to 1972, when she was returned to Norway.
