Telegraph HillElevated view northeast from Turk between Pierce and Steiner to streetcar collision on 31-Line. Streetcar at left lost its brakes at Turk and Baker, traveled downhill and struck the rear of the center car in the photo at Scott St. The cars traveled an additional block before stopping. Nine were injured. At upper left Garrick Theatre (Previously Orpheum Theater & later Bagdad Bowling Alley (before move to 26th and Noriega) and Princess (later Ellis) Theatre, on Ellis near Fillmore.
