Congress Hall Whiskey advertisement on 538 Clement on the the left, the grocery store of Pietro (Paul) Del Piano. Mr. Piano got out of the grocery business a few years later, and opened three successive saloons in the inner-Richmond, up until Prohibition closed him down. Fulton Street Chutes. Wallace the Lion was on display at both the Haight Street and Fulton Street Chutes. This cage with the columns is from the Fulton Street Chutes. The Zoo at the Fulton Street Chutes was phased out in October, 1907. Wallace and rest of the zoo was sold off to a zoo in Vancouver, B.C.
