Pacific near Divisadero

Two men near hole caused by a gas explosion at the terminus of the United Railroads Pacific Avenue cable car line. No one was injured, but 150 feet of roadway was torn up and a fire, reportedly started by gas in the cable channel ignited by friction, ensued. [United Railroads U02838]
