Elevated view northwest across City Hall Square (name changed to Marshall Square in December, 1902) and Pioneer Monument to City Hall with dome and rotunda still under construction, Cable car on City Hall Avenue. Pioneer (James Lick) Monument was dedicated on November 29, 1894. Statue on dome was installed in April, 1896. [City Hall S.F. Cal. Perkins 1227]
Dating based in part on poster for "Our Boys" which played the Alcazar in May, 1896. Statue was installed on dome in April, 1896.
